Srinagar, Aug 11: JD(U) State President G M Shaheen today expressed deep concern over the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a press release, he was addressing a party convention here. “ Despite the independence achieved in 1947, the region’s residents continue to endure hardships and that the progress expected has not been realized,” Shaheen said.

He appealed to the Government of India and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to urgently address and resolve the pressing issues of Jammu and Kashmir. Shaheen underscored the need for immediate and effective action to bring relief and development to the region.

He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the people who attended the gathering, acknowledging their support and commitment to the cause. “This is not just a political issue, but a matter of the well-being and future of our people.

We must work together to ensure that the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir are fulfilled,” Shaheen stated.
