Senior BJP leader, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo on Sunday said the self-discpline was the key to defeat the coronavirus pandemic.
“Observance ofself-discipline is the major key that will defeat the deadly coronavirusdecisively,” Chrungoo said, in a statement.
Chrungoosaid the official response of India to the grave global situation should besupported by the non-governmental initiatives at a massive scale. “Public participation is absolutelyimportant,” he said.
He dwelt on recentpolitical developments and said, “the recent decision of the IndianMeteorological Department (IMD) regarding change of name of its J&Ksub-division to Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzafarabadis both path breaking and historic.”
“It will pave way formore follow-up decisions on the ground regarding Jammu and Kashmir which havebeen delayed for the last seven decades,” said Chrungoo. He saidthese decisions were withheld by the previous governments due to their policyparalysis in this regard.
Chrungoocastigated the ASEAN coalition of 20 NGOs, expressing their objection to therecent decision by Labour Party of UK under its new leader Keir Starmer to turnaround its position on the issue of Kashmir.
