Ramban, Mar 25: Ramban Police arrested two persons at T -Chowk, Banihal after they recovered 200 grams of Charas from their possession today.
Police sources said that on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar, police foiled a narcotics smuggling bid at Banihal and arrested two persons with Charas.
They said a police party of Police Station Banihal while conducting checking at T- Chowk Banihal, stopped two suspected pedestrians.
During frisking 200 grams of Charas was recovered from their possession. Bothof them were arrested on the spot.
Police identified the duo as Umar Sharief son of Mohammad Sharie and Musavir Hussian Shah son of Imtiyaz Hussian both residents of the Kaskoot, area of Banihal.
Police have registered a case FIR No 41of 2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Banihal.
