5 players from Bandipora selected for SGFI Nationals

Srinagar, Jan 18: In a remarkable achievement for the budding talents of Khelo India Kabaddi Centre at the Indoor Sports Hall in Shadipora, Bandipora, five young players have been selected to represent Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Nationals.

The selected players will showcase their skills in the Under-14, Under-19, and Junior categories, making their mark in the vibrant kabaddi world.

   

The talented quintet comprises Mehran Ali, Akash Bashir, Arif Hussain Kawa, Shahid Manzoor, and Gazala Gulzar, all of whom are regular trainees at the Khelo India Kabaddi Centre in Shadipora, Bandipora. Their dedication, hard work, and exceptional performances have earned them the privilege of donning the state colours at the national level.

Under the guidance of Coach AR. Firdous, the young athletes have honed their skills and exhibited outstanding prowess in the sport. Coach Firdous, with his expertise and mentorship, has played a crucial role in shaping these promising talents into competitive players.

The news has generated a wave of pride and excitement within the community as these youth champions prepare to make their mark on the national stage.
