Chattabal Wier in a shambles

The Chattabal Weir was built between 1903-1907 by British engineers stationed in Kashmir. This structure is crucial for regulating the flow and water level of the city’s inland areas. Despite being rebuilt after years of deterioration, locals claim that the reconstruction used low-quality materials that did not stand the test of time.
