In a bid to de-escalate tensions, the Biden administration has again pushed for a ceasefire in Gaza, coupled with the release of Israeli hostages. However, efforts to restart ceasefire talks have encountered resistance.

Hamas, while expressing a willingness to engage in discussions, insists that any negotiations should be based on its previous position rather than starting anew.

The leaders of the UK, France, and Germany have joined the U.S. in calling for a resumption of ceasefire talks, recognizing the urgent need to prevent the conflict from spiraling into a broader regional war.

The coming days will be crucial in determining whether diplomatic efforts can prevail or if the region will plunge further into violence.
