Suicide bombing in Kabul leaves 6 dead, 13 injured

New Delhi, Sep 03: A suicide bomber detonated explosives in Kabul’s southwestern Qala Bakhtiar neighbourhood on Monday, killing at least six people and injuring 13 others, according to Afghan authorities.

The explosion occurred in a densely populated area, leaving behind scenes of devastation.

   

Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for Kabul’s security command, according to the local newspapers confirmed the attack and stated that the bomber had concealed the explosives on their body.

Among the deceased was one woman, while all 13 injured were civilians, who were promptly taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. The incident adds to the series of violent attacks that have plagued Afghanistan since the Taliban’s return to power in August 2021.
