Jammu, Apr 20: Director Sericulture J&K, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat undertook an extensive tour of the Jammu Division, chairing a comprehensive review meeting and visiting various sericulture establishments, mulberry nurseries, farms, and seed stations. The primary objective was to assess the progress of initiatives aimed at expanding sericulture activities and bolstering silkworm seed and cocoon production.
During the review meeting held at the Directorate of Sericulture Development Department’s Camp Office in Jammu, the Director engaged in threadbare discussions with officers from the Jammu Division. Key focus areas included the progress of ongoing developmental works, strengthening infrastructure for effective execution of silkworm seed production and breeding operations, and ensuring timely completion of breeding operations with synchronized seed cocoons to maximize efficiency and productivity.
