NSE warns investors against fake videos promoting stocks

Srinagar, Apr 12: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has cautioned investors about fake videos circulating on various platforms featuring Ashishkumar Chauhan, the MD & CEO of NSE, recommending stocks. The exchange has stated that these videos have been falsely created using sophisticated technologies to imitate Chauhan’s voice and facial expressions.

In an official statement, NSE highlighted that its employees are not authorized to recommend any stocks or deal in those stocks. The exchange urged investors not to believe or follow any investment or advisory content from such fake videos or other unauthorized mediums.

   

NSE emphasized that any official communication is made only through its official website www.nseindia.com and the exchange’s verified social media handles – Twitter: @NSEIndia, Facebook: @NSE India, Instagram: @nseindia, LinkedIn: @NSE India, YouTube: NSE India.

The exchange has requested investors to verify the source of any communication or content purportedly sent on behalf of NSE by cross-checking with the official website and social media handles. NSE also stated that it makes efforts to request platforms to take down these objectionable videos wherever possible.

Investors and the general public are advised to exercise caution and not fall prey to such fake videos or unauthorized investment advice.
