Srinagar, Apr 19: Residents of Rawalpora locality have expressed strong resentment against unscheduled power cuts.
The residents said that despite being a fully metered area, PDD resorted to unscheduled power cuts for several hours on Friday evening. “PDD’s plunged the area into darkness continuously for over five hours in the evening without any reason. This subjected the inhabitants to inconvenience. We pay our electricity bills regularly as per usage and it is our right to be entitled to round-the-clock power supply. We appeal to the Principal Secretary Power Development Department to look into the matter and ascertain the cause of frequent unscheduled power cuts in our locality and fix responsibility,” they added.
