Srinagar, Apr 22: Hundreds of people from all over Kashmir visited the Wani family of Chandilora Tangmarg to mourn the demise of Moazzam Wani, son of Ghulam Jeelani Wani, Managing Editor of English daily, Kashmir Images.
Moazzam, a class 9th standard student passed away on Sunday at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.
Thousands attended his Nimaz-e-Jinazah at Eidgah Chandilora on Sunday evening following which he was laid to rest at the family’s ancestral graveyard.
A student of Tyndale Biscoe School, Moazzam was a versatile athlete who made a mark in swimming, badminton, and football.
Principal Tyndale Biscoe and Mallinson School, Mabel Yonzon, on behalf of the management, staff and students of the school expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
“May God bless his soul and give you the courage to bear this irreplaceable loss,” the Principal wrote in a condolence message addressed to Ghulam Jeelani Wani and his wife.
