‘Kashmiri youth have talent, need only platform to excel ’

Srinagar, Apr 19: Founder of Rouble Nagi Art Foundation and prominent social activist Rouble Nagi today unveiled various programmes for provide platform to Kashmiri youth to challenellise their talent in various fields.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Nagi said she has been working to unlock Kashmiri youths collective leadership, creativity and inclusivity through art and skill development camps in Kashmir.

   

She said her foundation is running many centres in north Kashmir. “Around 800 girls are being imparted training in arts and crafts in these centres. Besides we will be opening computers centres in north and south Kashmir,” Nagi said.

“We want to empower youth especially girls in these centres to make them self-reliant and finally independent. We will help to train these youngsters by providing them skill and platform. Kashmir youth have talent but need only platform to excel in various fields,” she added.

“Let’s work together to eradicate illiteracy, poverty, hunger & wars ensuring a safe and dignified life where basic rights and natural freedoms are guaranteed. My focus has always been to create an appropriate environment for human development and creating the atmosphere for developing good & accountable citizens,” she said.

“We must create spaces for children with different backgrounds, perspectives and lived experiences to come together. By growing our collective potential, we can effect far greater change than what any of us can do on our own. Building a world where all children can fulfill their potential,” she said.

Nagi shed light on the transformative projects the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation plans to undertake different initiatives in Kashmir. “These initiatives aim to foster community development, social empowerment, and skill development for women,” she said.
