Man from Kulgam dies, two injured after dumper rolls down into gorge along Srinagar-Jammu National Highway

Banihal, April 16: One person died while two others were injured after a dumper on its way to Jammu from south Kashmir’s Kulgam rolled down into Nallah Bishlari near Sherbibi in Banihal along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Tuesday.

After the accident police and Banihal Volunteers rescued two injured from the debris of the damaged dumper submerged into water and shifted them to SDH Banihal from where they were referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment, said police.

   

Police identified dead as Nawaz Ahmad Bhat, 33 son of Mohammad Amin Bhat a resident of Laisu Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam.

While the Injured were identified as Zubair Ahmed Sofi son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi a resident Kounsarbal DH Pora Kulgam and Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Bashir resident of Kounsarbal DH Pora Kulgam district.
