Srinagar, Apr 20: Apni Party candidate for Anantnag- Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, today said that his party will win the seat with a convincing margin.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, he said a wrong notion is being created that there only a contest between National Conference (NC) and PDP in the constituency. “ It is absolutely a wrong notion and not based on the facts. Due to the changing public mood and growing popularity of Apni Party, we are going to emerge as victorious,” Manhas said.
He stated that even as his rival candidates are former chief minister and former minister but the change of winds is in favour of Apni Party.” Those making fresh assessments regarding poll outcome must not go by the past trends. Things have undergone a sea change since past. NC and PDP have lost ground and Apni Party is the new reality in the constituency,” Manhas said.
Apni Party candidate stated that he has served the people of the constituency in different capacity. “ I have served all people including Kashmiris, Dogras, Ladakhis, Gujjars and Paharis equally. I am in politics for long. I was secretary J&K Academy of Art and Culture and member of high powered committees. I have also attended conference including that of the prime ministers besides at international level,” he said.
