Farooq, Omar, Mehbooba, Altaf Bukhari, Soz greet people on Baisakhi

Srinagar, Apr 12: Senior politicians Dr Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Altaf Bukhari and Prof Saifuddin Soz have greeted the people  on Baisakhi.

 

   

DR FAROOQ ABDULLAH

National Conference (NC)  President, Member Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah,  has greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, hoping that the festivity heralds in an era of peace, prosperity, and amity in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a message, Dr Farooq Abdullah extended his greetings to people, especially Sikh brethren and expressed the hope that the festival, which is being observed also as the founding day of Khalsa Panth, will be celebrated in true spirit of J&K’s celebrated pluralistic culture.

 

OMAR ABDULLAH

Highlighting the region’s glorious heritage of religious harmony and cultural diversity, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah also extended greetings to the people and prayed for peace and tranquility in J&K.

 

MEHBOOBA MUFTI

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti in her massage of greetings to people especially Sikh brethren  hoped that this festival which is being celebrated every year and also founding day of Khalsa Panth will strengthen the pluralistic culture and socio fabric of Jammu and Kashmir in a true spirit. She also prayed for the peace, prosperity and universal brotherhood of Jammu and Kashmir . Highlighting the J&K’s glorious heritage of religious harmony and cultural diversity, former chief minister also called for strengthening the bonds between various sections of the society and nurturing communal harmony.

 

ALTAF BUKHARI

Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari in his message said, “I extend heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of the Baisakhi festival. This festival marks the beginning of the harvesting season and spreads joy and happiness among the people. Baisakhi symbolises a deep sense of appreciation for the bountiful harvest, nurturing a spirit of unity and generosity among communities.”

He also hoped that the celebration of this festival would spread peace, prosperity, and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir.

“May this festival spread peace, prosperity, and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir,” he prayed.

 

PROF SAIFUDDIN SOZ

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, hoping that the festivity heralds in an era of peace, prosperity, and amity in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement here, he extended his greetings to people, especially Sikh brethren and expressed the hope that the festival, which is being observed also as the founding day of Khalsa Panth, will be celebrated in true spirit of J&K’s celebrated pluralistic culture.  He also extended his warm greetings to the people and prayed for peace and tranquility in J&K.
