Rajouri, Apr 13: Amid ongoing anti terror operations in parts of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi district areas, security forces on Saturday busted a terrorist hideout in upper reaches of Reasi recovering large scale consignment of arms, ammunition and explosives from it.
Police in a statement said acting on the reliable information regarding presence of a hideout in the general area of Mahore sub division, a joint operation was launched to sanitise the area which was jointly led by Reasi Police and Army 58 RR in the Lancha area of Mahore.
During the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), police said, security forces recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the hideout in Lancha area of Shajroo. From the hideout, police said, the arms, ammunition and explosives that have been recovered include Two Tiffin IEDs with electric detonators, two pistols, two pistol magazines, nineteen pistol bullets, 400 grams of explosive powder, forty bullets of AK 47, four pics of locations, five bullets of a pistol, one electric detonator, six DC voltage battery of 9 volts, two 12 volt Lithium ion battery, two bundles of electric wire, five meters of plastic rope, one steel plate, one steel glass, one bag and three torn bed sheets.
Police said that searches in the area are still going on.
